What an unforgettable day for our residents at Village Concepts Retirement Communities of Sedro-Woolley! As part of an event called Leveling Up Seniors, Sedro-Woolley High School AP students spent Monday morning teaching digital skills to local seniors. The seniors, in turn, were invited to share their wisdom and skills with the students. Being located on the border with Victoria, BC,?Village Concepts Retirement Communities of Port Angeles?knows a thing or two about High Tea! Cultural experiences are an important part of life at our Village Concepts Retirement Communities. Our residents at Village Concepts of Fairwood had a wonderful time learning about Native American culture, led by Executive Director Lynda White Eagle, whose husband is a proud member of the Muckleshoot Tribe. Lynda shared the significance of cedar in various traditional practices including weaving, beading, totem pole carvings, native medicines, drum-making, and more. It was a memorable day filled with authentic treats, including delicious fry bread served with huckleberry butter, nettle tea, and elk pepperoni. ???? #nativeculture #assistedliving #seniorliving
