This Week in Project History: Flashing back to the final construction phase of an exciting commercial renovation and addition project with Tom Zeigler, PE. This one-story pharmacy was in need of additional customer and employee space for its growing business. The team designed an interior renovation for the first floor including new work and storage space, as well as a second floor addition with stock area, restroom, laboratory, work areas, and employee break room. The design required strict adherence to industry specifications for laboratory safety and sanitation. via #AugustineHomeImprovement, drywall is underway for our #WestBradford #HomeRenovation clients. This existing ranch home will have a new open plan layout, with a larger kitchen & flexible dining area, expanded primary bath & closet, new hall bath, and relocated laundry and office. The existing garage floor was raised and insulated to become a sitting area adjacent to the new front entry and covered porch. The existing sunroom will be reconstructed with all new energy-efficient insulated walls, roof, and windows on the same foundation. Reconfiguring existing spaces can be challenging, but we've managed to check off the homeowners' wish list without expanding the primary building footprint. #RanchHome #InteriorRenovation #HomeRemodel #OpenPlan #ChesterCounty

On this day 1 year ago, we were completing our field survey of a property that had suffered significant fire damage, resulting in necessary demolition down to the foundation. VA&P worked with the homeowner to design a 3,200 s.f. dream home reconstruction, including a great room with stone fireplace, open kitchen with bay window breakfast nook, powder room, laundry and butler's pantry, mud room, 2-car garage, and an open stair to second floor sleeping areas and primary bedroom suite.
