We are delighted to announce that Dr. Bernice A. King will be the next guest speaker for the Equity & Inclusion Virtual Speaker Series! Dr. King is a global thought leader, strategist, solutionist, orator, peace advocate, and CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center For Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center), which was founded by her mother as the official living memorial to the life, work, and legacy of her father. In this position, Bernice continues to advance her parents’ legacy of nonviolent social change through policy, advocacy, research, as well as education & training through the Kingian philosophy of nonviolence, which she re-branded Nonviolence365TM? Each year, our Villa community comes together to celebrate the magic of Villa Academy. Our annual spring event is a time for libations and celebrations as we revel in our connections and shared commitment to our school. We gather to raise funds in support of extending and expanding access to a transformative Villa education. So save the date and join us for our?biennial gala event, an over 30-year tradition, bringing together parents, faculty, staff, and alumni to celebrate and support the school. Villa Academy is committed to reflecting the diversity of the greater Seattle area. ???? We offer a range of assistance awards to qualifying families across a spectrum of incomes. No family should be deterred from applying for admission due to financial constraints. In addition, our enrollment process is need-blind. Submitting a financial assistance application does not influence our admission decision. In the 2023-24 school year, Villa assistance awards totaled more than $1.3 million, reaching 20% of our families. Should you find that Villa is the right fit for your child and family, we encourage you to consider our community regardless of your financial situation.
