The HBI-120, Viken’s first-generation handheld imager, continues to play a vital role in enhancing public safety. Here is an example of a successful seizure, shared with permission from one of our law enforcement customers: Following the arrest of a suspect and the impoundment of their vehicle, the suspect's behavior indicated the possibility of a concealed item within the vehicle. Despite an exhaustive manual search yielding no results, an officer utilized one of Viken’s handheld X-ray imagers. The scanner detected a firearm deeply embedded in the car door within minutes, thereby facilitating the removal of another illegal weapon off the streets.
