Vigor is proud to welcome USS Kidd (DDG 100) to our Harbor Island shipyard as one of the first U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to receive upgrades under the Destroyer Modernization 2.0 program. We are grateful for the Navy’s trust in our skilled workforce to successfully complete this availability and get the vessel back in service supporting our national defense. Welcome to Seattle!
关于我们
We build fishing boats, tugs, ferries, barges, fireboats, high performance combatant crafts and a variety of aluminum workboats. Our shipbuilding experts live for the challenge of delivering new vessels on time and on budget. If it floats, we repair it. From small fishing boats to the country’s largest catcher processors, from basic barges to state-of-the-art articulated tug and barge sets, from offshore supply vessels to floating drill rigs, and from aircraft carriers to cruise ships, Vigor’s ship repair teams can tackle any repair project, where our customers need us, when they need us. We fabricate heavy, high complexity projects from structural bridge girders to nuclear containment devices, from dam lift gates to space launch complex towers. We love to build. The tighter tolerance and the more complex the better. We're privately owned and publicly minded. We value training, hard work, and smart thinking. We hold every employee accountable for success: theirs, ours, and our customers. We minimize barriers and respond quickly to market conditions and customers' needs. We're serious about safety and environmental stewardship. Our companies share a common goal: providing world-class maritime and industrial services to support our customers and strengthen the communities where we live and work. Vigor: Industrial Evolution.

?? Employer Spotlight: Vigor, LLC - Building America Together Through Vigor's unwavering commitment to skilling up the next generation of maritime workers, our partnership with Portland Community College Career Pathways & STEP program has flourished, creating invaluable opportunities for our students. In 2008, Vigor and PCC Career Pathways recognized the urgent need for skilled welders in the industry, sparking a collaboration aimed at addressing this gap while meeting the economic needs of our community. PCC Maritime Welding Training Center, a state-of-the-art facility housed at Vigor shipyard, has become the cornerstone of this partnership, offering students real-world experience in the heart of the maritime industry. Todd Barnett, a Vigor employee and PCC instructor, alongside Mike Rasmussen, has been instrumental in the grassroots development of this program, successfully training hundreds of students since its inception. ????? At PCC Career Pathways & STEP, we see firsthand the transformative impact of this partnership on our students' lives. Many of our graduates have overcome significant challenges, including incarceration, homelessness, and recovery from addiction, and are now stepping into well-paying careers with industry leaders like Vigor and Diversified Marine. Vigor's dedication to this collaboration goes beyond just providing a training space; their staff have been actively involved in training, mentoring, and hiring our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce. Together, we're not only addressing a critical skills shortage but also creating pathways to stability and success for those who need it most, strengthening our community and economy in the process. ??
