Big news here from the State of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA),?on behalf of the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority (OSIDA), has selected Vigilant Aerospace to deploy the state’s first investment in an airspace management system and automatic detect-and-avoid solution to support both drone flights and the rapidly emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry. This selection aims to develop the state as a national proving ground for both civilian and military drones and to pave the way for AAM operations like electric vertical takeoff air taxis and autonomous cargo aircraft. Under the multi-year contract, Vigilant will deploy the first FlightHorizon system at the Oklahoma Air and Space Port at Clinton-Sherman Airport in partnership with OSIDA, which operates one of only 14 FAA-licensed spaceports in the United States. The project includes integration and management of multiple mobile air traffic surveillance radars and provides remote monitoring and Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) functions. Thank you Executive Directors Grayson Ardies at ODAA and Craig J. Smith at OSIDA for your leadership. Vigilant Aerospace Systems provides airspace management and flight safety systems for both manned & unmanned aircraft
关于我们
Vigilant Aerospace is the leading developer of detect-and-avoid and airspace management software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS or drones). The company’s product, FlightHorizon, is based on two NASA patents and uses data from multiple sources to display a real-time picture of the air traffic around a UAS and to provide automatic avoidance maneuvers to prevent collisions. The software is designed to meet industry technical standards, to provide automatic safety and to allow UAS to safely fly beyond the sight of the pilot. The software has won multiple industry awards and the company has had contracts and users at NASA, the FAA, the U.S. Department of Defense and with a variety of drone development programs. Visit our website at www.VigilantAerospace.com FlightHorizon is based on an exclusively licensed NASA patent and prototype which has been extensively tested and which provides a unique autonomous “detect-and-avoid” function. FlightHorizon uses data from standard aviation transponders and radar to allow unmanned aircraft to autonomously self-separate from other aircraft and avoid mid-air collisions. The software provides unmanned aircraft pilots with a 2D map-based view and 3D synthetic cockpit view of the airspace and full sensor fusion across aviation transponders, radars and online data feeds. The system is designed to help operators maintain flight safety, achieve beyond visual line-of-sight flight authorizations and comply with FAA Part 107.205 waiver requirements. Vigilant Aerospace also provides integration and development consulting in addition to testing, training and compliance services for unmanned aircraft flight operation departments and fleet managers. Vigilant Aerospace Systems is a member of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and is partnered with the FAA Alliance for System Safety of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) through Research Excellence (ASSURE) and NASA Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM).
