Proceanic Expands Mini-ROV Capabilities with Advanced 3D Photogrammetry We are pleased to announce the successful deployment of Proceanic’s Mini-ROV 3D Photogrammetry capabilities. Our ROV teams recently completed two separate inspection campaigns utilizing state-of-the-art 3D photogrammetry cameras integrated with the VideoRay MSS Defender ROV System. These campaigns produced high-accuracy 3D models of FPSO mooring chain links and FPSO riser flex joints to support critical asset integrity assessments. For the mooring chain inspection, 3D photogrammetry was employed to accurately measure the size and depth of localized pitting on the chain links. This detailed dimensional data enables our clients to conduct engineering analysis and determine the chains' suitability for continued service. The flex joint inspection involved low-pressure cavitational cleaning to safely remove contaminants from the sensitive neoprene joint material without causing damage. A high-accuracy 3D model of the flex joint was then generated, allowing for ongoing monitoring of the joint and its neoprene sleeve for erosion, corrosion, and deformation. Proceanic remains at the forefront of ROV technology development, particularly on the MSS Defender platform, continuously expanding the capabilities available for offshore inspection and integrity management.
