?? Do less, accomplish more ??♂?

?? Do less, accomplish more ??♂? In the last 1 year at VideoDubber.ai, we have hustled to get a great video translator out for hundreds of thousands of customers. But when we look back, connecting the dots, as Steve Jobs would have recommended, we see: Most values came out in the weeks when we worked much less than average. I can see why when I read Taoism, now. In a world, where hustle ??♂? is glorified and “grind” is the mantra of success, the ancient wisdom of Lao Tzu offers a refreshing alternative. Lao Tzu, the ancient Chinese philosopher, believed in the power of "Wu Wei" (INACTION). He recommended: ?? Return to inaction: After the victory, stop being hostile, boastful, or self-assertive. Let peace settle. ??♂? Act with inaction: A sage acts by not imposing conditions on the world, allowing things to unfold naturally. ?? Act as little as possible: When action is unavoidable, act briefly and with restraint. ?? Redirect, don't block: Rather than fighting against obstacles, redirect them toward a harmonious path. ?? Make the small big: Even small efforts, when magnified, can lead to great results. Value the small steps. ?? Start small: Begin big tasks by first addressing the small, manageable pieces. ?? Don't promise rashly: Be mindful with commitments—those who promise too quickly rarely keep their word. ?? Consider things difficult: Even sages acknowledge that some tasks are complex. Approach them with care. Lao Tzu’s teachings remind us that often the best way to act is to step back, letting nature take its course. ?? The key to success isn’t grinding 24/7. Sometimes, the most powerful move is to step back, reflect, and let the right actions flow naturally. ?? #AntiHustle #WorkSmarter #TaoOfBusiness #YoungProfessionals #MindfulLeadership #Taoism #WuWei #Inaction #Philosophy #Mindfulness From #Gandhi to #Musk, the most efficient doers have always embraced this philosophy, not the popular unscientific #hustle culture. ?? Prehistoric Times Early humans noticed that inaction allowed nature to grow more crops ??. ?? Ancient Greece Philosophers like Socrates and Pythagoras valued contemplation ??. For them, action without thought was foolish. Inaction became a form of wisdom ?. ??♂? Eastern Philosophies Taoism and Zen Buddhism embraced Wu Wei ("non-action"), where the best actions flow effortlessly with nature ??. Lao Tzu said, "By doing nothing, everything is done." ?? ? Medieval Japan Samurai practiced Mushin (no-mind) ??—a state where thought and action merged. Inaction brought clarity and focus ??. ?? Modern Times Thinkers like Alan Watts ?? and Eckhart Tolle ?? highlighted inaction for spiritual growth. Watts said: "Muddy water clears when left alone." ?? Who Embraces Inaction? Leaders like Gandhi ?? used inaction (civil disobedience), while Warren Buffet values patience in business ??. Elon Musk famously said, "Don't waste time on staff that does not actually make things better."

?? Tight budget? Limited manpower? Focus on this ONE marketing strategy! ?? I am saying this because this is TRIED & TESTED at Videodubber.ai ! We used this strategy from Neil Patel, one of the most known faces in marketing to skyrocket our growth in SEO with fractional manpower. When resources are limited, what's your best bet? ?? Focusing on a single marketing channel allows you to master it and maximize returns. By concentrating your efforts, you can: ?? Build deeper relationships with your audience, as consistency leads to trust. ?? Optimize your strategies more effectively based on detailed performance insights. ? Save time and resources by avoiding the complexity of managing multiple platforms. ?? Achieve higher engagement by tailoring content specifically to the platform. According to Neil Patel, instead of spreading yourself too thin across multiple platforms, hone in on one key marketing channel and get really good at it. However, repurposing content across platforms is not always a plug-and-play strategy. Here’s why: ?? Platform preferences matter: Each platform has its own unique language and style that you need to adapt to. ?? Content formats differ: What works well on one platform may need a complete makeover for another. ?? Maximize engagement: Tailoring content increases your chances of higher engagement and reach. Take Instagram and LinkedIn for example... ?? Instagram thrives on visual content. Eye-catchy visuals, HD images, and trendy music make you the content king there! ??? ?? LinkedIn, on the other hand, loves text, engaging hooks, and thought leadership in the form of posts, articles, or long-form content. A great piece here starts with a strong title, a description that gives context, and a hook to pull readers in. ?? So if you're repurposing, you may need to turn a LinkedIn post into a short video or a carousel to perform well there. In fact, the smarter strategy is to do the opposite in time. ?? Make videos first for Instagram and see if they resonate. If they do, adapt it for LinkedIn by creating a punchy title, description, and a hook to introduce the video. Repurposing works—but only if you adjust to the platform’s unique language. ??

?? IN PREHISTORIC TIMES ??, the only source of artificial light was a wood fire. To produce as much light as a standard ?? 60-watt household lightbulb gives off in an hour, our ancestors would have had to gather timber for 58 hours—almost two and a half days of foraging just to brighten their space for one hour. ?? 1750 BCE: By Babylonian times, lighting technology improved slightly, with sesame oil lamps ???. But even then, a worker would need to toil for 41 hours—essentially, an entire workweek ??♂?—just to produce the same light a modern bulb can emit in 60 minutes ??. Candle Era ???: Made from animal fat, candles required 5 hours of work for an hour of dim light—and let’s not forget, they smelled awful ??. Fast forward to the 1800s, gas lamps ?? started reducing the labor needed, but an hour of light still took several hours of work. Early 1900s ?: Then came the electric bulb—a game changer. By this time, it took just minutes of work to afford an hour of light. Now, in 2024, less than 1 second of work ?? pays for an hour of light ??. The progress is staggering: today, the effort to light a room is 300,000 times lower than in prehistoric times, and 30,000 times lower than it was in the 1800s. Our ancestors toiled endlessly to brighten their nights—today, we flip a switch without a second thought ?????. ?? This radical transformation in lighting parallels the evolution we’re driving at VideoDubber.ai for video translation ??. Traditionally, video translation with voiceovers was a labor-intensive, expensive process ??. Teams would spend days or even weeks translating and dubbing content manually. But with VideoDubber.ai, we’ve reduced that effort by up to 95% ?. #VoiceCloning ?? was never possible before like it is today. Finding a person with a similar voice, adjusting tonality and pitch... too much effort went into simple things that are now available at VideoDubber with the click of a button ???. We even offer different voice cloning options for different needs—from instant cloning for the fast finishers ? to pro cloning for the perfectionists ??. Now, with the power of AI ??, we translate long videos across languages in seconds instead of days or weeks ??—cutting costs significantly ?? and making content globally accessible. Just like how light became universal, video translation is now within everyone’s reach ?. ?? Welcome to the future of video translation, where global content is as effortless as flipping on a light switch ??. P.S.: ?? We have launched 18 new languages and 1000s of new voices. ???? Do try them out for free at Videodubber.ai ??. ?? We are planning to launch something much bigger soon. Stay tuned! ??

?? Technical Debt: When fast is slow and slow is fast ?? As the Founder and CEO of VideoDubber.ai, I’ve had the privilege of seeing our AI-powered video translation and dubbing tool grow from an idea into a product serving thousands of customers each month. However, this journey hasn’t been without its challenges. One significant hurdle we encountered was technical debt. Initially, we built our backend using Flask and Jinja2 for rendering. It was a quick solution to get us off the ground, but as we scaled, we realized it wasn’t sustainable for our growth and ambitions. We needed a more robust, scalable solution, which led us to transition to a Next.js backend. This shift wasn’t easy. It took months of dedicated effort to rebuild our backend while also making our website multilingual. The engineering effort required to create custom software for this was immense and, unfortunately, it pulled us back from other critical areas like marketing, sales, distribution, and even enhancing our current product. However, during this period of paying off our technical debt, we didn’t stop innovating. We reinvested revenue from our bootstrapped company into developing new products. Our new architecture will be instrumental to bring in new revenue as spanish language links like https://lnkd.in/gPwryRca and https://videodubber.ai/es/ becomes available for wider audience in their language. Not only that, the new architecture now makes it easy to add more languages for all our top links in the site. Our past mistakes (primarily of choosing the wrong tech stack) are now fixed and we will be able to launch a suite of products from lipsync to in-house video-editor in the next three weeks. These experiments taught us a vital lesson: in the world of startups, speed is the elixir of life. Moving slowly can be fatal. Execution trumps perfect planning every time. But scaling can only happen from 1 to 100. The journey from 0 to 1 should be slow and iterative. Early decisions often make a big impact on scaling. As we move forward, we’re more committed than ever to rapid execution and continuous improvement. The experience has strengthened our resolve and equipped us with the agility to better serve our customers and expand our reach. To all my fellow entrepreneurs out there, remember: technical debt is a part of the journey. Embrace it, learn from it, and keep pushing forward. ?? Onwards and upwards!!! #startups #technicaldebt #growth #innovation #entrepreneurship #VideoDubber #AI #multilingual #buildinpublic #video #translation #spanish
