Today, we celebrate the strength and resilience of those living with rare diseases and work to raise awareness for the challenges they face. ?? Check out these facts and join us in spreading the word!???????? ??Rare but Many - There are over 7,000 known rare diseases, affecting more than 300 million people worldwide. ??The zebra is the symbol of the rare disease community in the U.S. and wearing zebra stripes on Rare Disease Day helps raise awareness. ??Genetics Play a Role – About 80% of rare diseases have a genetic origin. Others result from infections, environmental factors, or are autoimmune-related. ??It takes an average of 6-8 years for a child to receive an accurate rare disease diagnosis.

Today at Med Camp 101, we had the privilege of connecting with dedicated medical professionals, sharing a day filled with interactive learning and professional growth. Through interactive sessions, Camp tours, and hands-on activities, participants not only gained valuable knowledge, but also earned 3.75 continuing education credits!
