Prison Visit Recap! People often ask if it’s frightening to go into prison to minister, and the truth is, sometimes it is.?? Every one of our teammates who walk through those prison gates faces fear—me included. But it is not for the reasons you might think.? It’s not because we fear those with violent pasts or fear for our safety. It’s not because we fear not being let out.? Rather, it’s the fear of not being worthy. The fear that our words won’t matter. The fear that we don’t belong. And for some, it is the fear of returning to a place where they once lived and suffered many traumatic experiences. This week on our prison tour, our team had to stand toe to toe with that paralyzing force. But through the Spirit of God within us and our desire to see lives transformed, we found the courage to open our mouths and tell about the goodness of God. He blessed our efforts and drew many men to Himself.? Through this experience, I was reminded of the power of our individual testimonies and the great lengths Satan will go to silence us through fear. Why? Because he knows that through the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony, he is a defeated foe. And this week, he was defeated once again! I am so grateful for my teammates JC Almanza and Christina Kimbrel for their courage to walk through those clanging gates and share their testimonies of the goodness of God. God anointed their words and changed lives for eternity! Every voice of ours was used by God to reach someone in a special way.? God wants to use your voice too. You speak a language I can’t and you have a story like none other. Tell it. There’s people all around you who need to hear about the goodness of God through your words. Don’t let fear rob you of that privilege.?
