???Retour sur une journée inoubliable au Partner Day Vicat-OL Féminin !??? Le mercredi 5 mars, dix enfants de nos collaborateurs ont eu la chance vivre une journée dans la peau de "Reporters Vicat" au Groupama Stadium. Accompagnés de leurs parents, ils ont vécu une expérience unique aux c?tés des joueuses de l'#OL Féminin. Nos reporters "en herbe" ont eu l'opportunité d'assister à l'entrainement puis de prendre le micro pour poser leurs questions aux joueuses dans la véritable salle de presse du club, se mettant ainsi en scène comme de véritables journalistes. Cette journée a été riche en émotions et en découvertes, et nos petits reporters ont brillamment relevé le défi ! Cette journée s'inscrit dans le partenariat initié avec l'OL-Féminin depuis de nombreuses années ! Les premières images d’une belle histoire ! Aujourd'hui, Guy Sidos et Didier PETETIN, accompagnés d'une délégation du Groupe, ont visité le site Cermix de Desvres. Cette première visite marque le début d'une nouvelle ère suite au rapprochement des activités VPI - Vicat Produits Industriels et Cermix, officialisé en début d'année. Cette rencontre entre les équipes Vicat et Cermix est un moment clé d’échange et de dialogue, ouvrant de belles perspectives sur le marché des produits de mise en ?uvre du carrelage et de la ma?onnerie. Ce rapprochement crée un groupe de 7 sites industriels en France, avec une capacité de production de 800 000 tonnes, sous deux marques fortes et bien implantées sur leurs marchés respectifs. VPI et Cermix ont connu un développement dynamique ces dernières années, surpassant la croissance du marché. Les équipes R&D des deux entités ont également démontré une forte capacité d'innovation, notamment en matière de solutions respectueuses de l’environnement. On the way to our subsidiary in Mauritania ????! Discover our subsidiary Mauricim, a key player in the construction sector meeting the strictest international quality standards! Since 2008, Mauricim has been part of our group. This implantation has allowed to strengthen our presence in West Africa, alongside Mali and Senegal, allowing us to have a total cement production capacity of 650,000 tons of cement per year. A powerful industrial tool Thanks to its grinding center, installed in the port area of Nouakchott, Mauricim has established itself as a major player in the cement industry in Mauritania. ???? Its annual production capacity makes it possible to meet the needs of the construction sector throughout the country with products that strictly meet international standards. ‘Banco clay’ in cement To help toward the decarbonization of its business, Mauricim is developing cements that emit less CO2 but meet the same high standards by substituting part of their clinker content with a locally mined material known as 'banco', the result of decomposition of prehistoric diatoms, a form of siliceous algae. ‘Banco’ is used as a mortar for stonework in traditional construction. Innovation is part of the DNA of our Group, whose objective is to find sustainable construction solutions to meet customer needs and meet the construction challenges of today and tomorrow.

And another milestone on the CI4C construction site! The new clinker silo is here! The first section was successfully installed on February 12, followed by the second section the next day. ?? Why is the silo so important? With a capacity of 650 tons, CI4C can temporarily store the clinker produced directly on site and carry out its own production campaigns with the research and development facility being built in Mergelstetten. The clinker is also used for research and development purposes. The assembly was real precision work: the clinker silo, with a diameter of 8 meters and a weight of 62 tons in pre-assembled condition, was placed on the first day with millimeter precision using state-of-the-art technology and under the highest safety standards. On the second day, the steel structure including the plant technology was installed above the clinker silo, which weighed an additional 33 tons. ??? About CI4C The four European cement manufacturers Buzzi SpA - Dyckerhoff GmbH, Heidelberg Materials AG, SCHWENK Zement GmbH & Co. KG and VICAT joined forces in 2019 to form the research company CI4C GmbH & Co. KG in 2019. Their common goal: to realize the CO? capture project “catch4climate” on the premises of SCHWENK's cement plant in Mergelstetten. The new plant, in which over 120 million euros are being invested, is the first to use the pure oxyfuel process for CO? separation.
