“Americans die the youngest and live the sickest lives despite spending the most on healthcare”. A new report just came out comparing 10 of the world’s wealthiest nations and revealed that the U.S. spends by far the most of any other country with by far the worst health outcomes. How much do we spend? The number just surpassed $4.8 trillion and is projected to hit $7.7 trillion in the next 7 years at the current rate. Health spending continues to outpace economic growth significantly every year which could lead to the collapse of our healthcare system and economy. The surprising thing keeping many women stuck ??Sleep can be tricky if you you’re dealing with adrenal imbalances (fatigue during the day then feeling ‘tired but wired’ when you finally lie down), racing thoughts, or hot flashes. ??So many things interfere with sleep but if we don’t get enough, we’re fighting a losing battle when it comes to healing, brain fog or weight loss. ??Here’s why: A recent weight loss study looked at two different groups of people with the same calorie intake. Half slept 8-9 hours a night, the other group only slept 4-5 hours a night. ??The well-rested group lost 80% fat and just a little bit of muscle whereas the other group lost 80% muscle (meaning their metabolism is now even worse) ?Sleep was the only difference Don’t underestimate the power of sleep – this is prime healing and fat burning time.
