Indigenous Peoples' Day, observed on the second Monday of October, honors the resilience, heritage, and contributions of Indigenous peoples worldwide. Originating as a counter-celebration to Columbus Day, it recognizes the history of colonization and promotes cultural awareness and understanding. With roots in Native American activism, it symbolizes a reclaiming of history and identity. Beyond acknowledgment, it advocates for justice, sovereignty, and the preservation of Indigenous cultures and traditions. Indigenous Peoples' Day serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for Indigenous rights and offers an opportunity for reflection, solidarity, and reconciliation in acknowledging past injustices.

? Vibrant Pittsburgh's very own Lora McKnight and #Vibrantmember Three Rivers Business Alliance welcomed attendees to a unique lunch experience, where they led a discussion on supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Lora, who spearheads strategic operations and program development at Vibrant Pittsburgh, facilitated an engaging session with 3RBA. Attendees explored insights from the Small Business Pride (SBP) Study, the region’s first longitudinal study of LGBTQIA+ small business owners. This study provided a platform for LGBTQIA+ owners and professionals to share their experiences and professional needs in the Pittsburgh area. ?

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, stands as the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, marked by fasting, prayer, and reflection. Rooted in ancient rituals and observed on the tenth day of Tishrei, it's a time for spiritual purification, repentance, and seeking forgiveness from both divine and fellow humans. With traditions spanning centuries, Yom Kippur underscores the values of humility, accountability, and reconciliation. Beyond religious significance, it offers an opportunity for introspection, healing, and renewal of the soul. Yom Kippur reminds us of the eternal pursuit of righteousness and the power of forgiveness in fostering personal and communal growth
