?? On the 2nd of November 2024, the VIBES project was proudly presented at the 2nd National Scientific Conference organized by ΠΑΣΥΠΕΦΑΑ (Παγκ?πριο? Σ?νδεσμο? Πτυχιο?χων Επιστ?μη? Φυσικ?? Αγωγ?? και Αθλητισμο? - Pan-Cyprian Association of Physical Education and Sports Science Graduates) at the Shacolas Educational Centre for Clinical Medicine in Nicosia, Cyprus. The conference, organized with the support of UCLan Cyprus, Frederick University Cyprus, European University Cyprus, and the University of Nicosia, was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, the Cyprus Olympic Committee, and ΟΕΒ - Ομοσπονδ?α Εργοδοτ?ν και Βιομηχ?νων Κ?πρου. This significant event marked an important milestone for the Physical Education and Sports Science community in Cyprus, offering a platform to share cutting-edge projects and research with field experts. During the conference: Dr. Olia Tsivitanidou presented “Sport through European projects – Training and networking opportunities” (in Greek), highlighting the educational and networking prospects for sports science in Europe, with VIBES showcased as an example. VIBES Erasmus+ Sport project presented today during the 2nd Scientific Conference of Sports Science and Physical Education organised by the Pancyprian Association of Physical Education and Sports Graduates (@ΠΑΣΥΠΕΦΑΑ) and co-organised by local universities in Cyprus UCLan Cyprus, University of Nicosia European University Cyprus FREDERICK UNIVERSITY CYPRUS. Kyriaki Antoniou presenting key findings from the VIBES field research. Olia Tsivitanidou, PhD presents the possibilities that EU programmes provide for education and training, with VIBES showcased as one of the examples provided.

On the 29th of October, the VIBES Erasmus+ Sport project met online to discuss the latest developments and upcoming milestones. We discussed some key updates with a focus on the development of the VIBES training materials. Our partners have been working on developing training materials for physical education teachers to effectively integrate VR into their classes. Those materials will become available soon to the public and will be further pilot tested with teachers for feedback acquisition. Partners also discussed about the online platform features which will soon host an e-course with the training materials and a virtual community for teachers to connect! We're committed to making a positive impact on physical education and empowering teachers with the tools they need to motivate students to engage with physical activity and sports. The team of experts at CUS Palermo is currently involved in drafting a specific module dedicated to the use of virtual reality devices in the context of inclusive physical education.
