Our Mobile Teaching Kitchen is a community nutrition program that pairs food access and nutrition education through nutritious and delicious recipe samplings and cooking demonstrations. The Mobile Teaching Kitchen is bridging the gap between nutrition security and health. ?? Impact Report: From our Mobile Teaching Kitchen educators... "Great experience today. We coordinated the recipe (roasted butternut squash with citrus dressing) with the food distribution partner since they were handing out butternut squash and garlic. We got to have great conversations with people who were eager to use what they had gotten to make the recipe at home. Some people had also visited us at our last visit at McPherson Square Library and then made the masala carrots. People are remembering us and making the food at home.” ? Did you know that Vetri Community Partnership is an approved EIO under the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. As a result, Pennsylvania businesses, business owners, and individuals can donate to support our work and receive state tax credits ranging from 75-90% of their charitable contribution. When you support Vetri Community Partnership with EITC, you're supporting students all across Philadelphia to gain life skills for a healthier future through programs like Vetri Cooking Lab. Yesterday at Independence Charter School West, Vetri Cooking Lab students brought the heat and prepared Minestrone Stew and Brussels Sprout Caesar Salad. These young chefs are gaining life skills for life--not only are they learning how to chop and dice new vegetables, they're learning how to work together to read recipes, follow directions, and take turns. They're tasting together and finding descriptive words and flavor adjustments. And overall, they're having a blast while doing it. DM us to learn more about you can direct your company's tax dollars to support nutrition education through cooking.

Here’s what our SNAP-Ed team has been up to these past few weeks! ?? With the school year in full swing, our SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators are diving into classrooms to share veggie-packed recipes with students. This year, students will be learning to make fresh and delicious tabbouleh, pumpkin dip, granola, chips, and salsa right in their classrooms! We also joined in on the autumn festivities at Awbury Arboretum, where we shared crisp apple samples to celebrate the season with the community.

Today marks 10 years that our CEO, Maddy Booth, has been with Vetri Community Partnership! We are so grateful for Maddy’s inspiring leadership and commitment to our mission of nourishing minds, bodies, and communities with nutrition education through cooking. ? Maddy knows Vetri Community Partnership inside and out—in fact, in the very beginning, she was in the classrooms herself teaching young students how to cook veggies. Though her role has grown and evolved since then, Maddy has remained the incredible, hands-on leader that started with this organization back in 2014. ? On behalf of the Vetri Community Partnership team, THANK YOU Maddy, for your endless dedication to not only guiding our team to success, but sharing the joy of cooking and eating together with our community.
