Check out the progress contractors are making at the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Lubbock. You can see the steel structures of the new Administration Building and Committal Shelter and additional roadwork. Construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2025. We appreciate all your support and we look forward to serving our Veterans and their families!

VLB's Director of Texas State Veterans Cemeteries, John Kelley PhD, met with Veterans and the local community at the Longview VFW to discuss a proposal for a new Texas State Veterans Cemetery in East Texas. That part of the state has the largest unserved Veteran population and would be an ideal location for a possible sixth VLB State Veterans Cemetery. We'll share more details as they become available.

Thanks so much to the El Paso Zoo for hosting our Veterans and staff from the Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home in El Paso. They had a wonderful time visiting with the animals and look forward to their next trip ?? ?? ??

The senior leadership and Onsite Representatives from our five Texas State Veterans Cemeteries in Abilene, Corpus Christi, Killeen, Lubbock (under construction), and Mission are aboard the USS Lexington Museum this week for training and to learn more about the best practices for serving Veterans, military members, and their families. Our goal is to ensure we are doing everything we can to assist our Veterans when they need us the most.
