Our comprehensive initiative focuses on providing participants with a structured framework to assess their skills and interests, effectively translate their military experience into civilian terminology, and develop the confidence needed to navigate the civilian job market. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Chief Learning Officer (CLO) to lead and enhance the educational framework of our Veteran Workforce Development Program. This role requires a strategic visionary who can effectively design and implement curriculum development initiatives tailored to veterans' unique needs. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and lead the vision, strategy, and overall curriculum for the Veteran Workforce Development Program.? -Design and implement engaging educational content, tools, and materials tailored for military members and veterans transitioning to civilian careers.? -Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and industry partners to ensure relevant and up-to-date curriculum offerings.? -Assess program effectiveness through data analysis and participant feedback, making continuous improvements based on findings.? -Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars to enhance participants’ skills and promote career readiness.? -Advocate for the unique learning needs and experiences of veterans, ensuring inclusivity in all instructional methodologies and practices.? -Stay current on trends in adult education, workforce development, and veteran services to inform best practices and innovative approaches. Qualifications:? -Terminal degree (Ed.D or Ph.D.) in Education, Curriculum Development, Adult Learning, or a related field.? -Military veteran with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by service members transitioning to civilian roles.? -Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design, ideally within a workforce development or educational setting.? -Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of participants.? -Strong analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness and impact on participants.? -Experience working with veterans or military organizations is highly desirable.? -Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Compensation: This position is contracted on a 1099 basis, with compensation commensurate with experience and based on project needs. The Veteran Workforce Development Program is dedicated to empowering veterans by providing them with the skills and training necessary to succeed in today’s workforce. We are seeking knowledgeable and experienced Adjunct Instructors to join our team on an as-needed basis. Instructors will facilitate engaging classes designed to enhance the employability of veterans through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Responsibilities:? -Develop and deliver high-quality instructional materials and course content tailored to the needs of veterans.? -Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities to promote critical thinking and skill development.? -Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.? -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, skills, and employer expectations relevant to veterans.? -Collaborate with program coordinators to adjust curriculum and instructional strategies as needed.? -Support students’ career aspirations by providing guidance and mentorship during and after the course.? -Participate in occasional program meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications:?? -A master’s degree in [relevant field, e.g., Education, Business, Social Work, etc.].? -Veteran status; prior military service is mandatory.? -Proven experience as an adjunct instructor or in a similar teaching role, preferably within workforce development or a related field.? -Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans transitioning to civilian employment.? -Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.? -Ability to create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.? -Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques is preferred.? -Strong technological skills and comfort with online teaching platforms, if applicable. The Veteran Workforce Development Program is broken into (5) easily digestible competency domains which serve as building blocks for becoming self-sufficient in navigating the civilian workforce. Domain 1 Self-Assessment and Career Exploration: This domain helps participants discover their unique strengths, interests, and values and explore potential career paths. Activities include self- assessment tools, career research strategies, industry exploration, and goal setting. We understand that the transition from military to civilian life can be daunting, but we believe that every veteran has the strength and capability to succeed. Our program is designed to provide the necessary tools for self-sufficiency, whether through job training, resume building, interview preparation, or personal development workshops. On March 8th, active-duty personnel and veterans have an opportunity to begin their civilian workforce transition by attending a 3-week cohort lasting 2-hours each Saturday morning.
