Proud to continue serve together with our allies. Clip from Tampa TV: https://lnkd.in/erU3nAVc
“All gave some; some gave all.” Special ops teams around the world gave the most. We saluted them and their families on Veterans Day, declaring it “Intl Veterans Day,” since at VCI we include all allies. Fight together; Heal together. Joining us was SCOCOM Commander GEN Bryan Fenton, his CSM Shane Shorter, former SOCOM Cdr GEN Tony Thomas, intl liaison officers among the 28 countries at SOCOM, special wounded warriors, and families. Thank you to all those who joined us on Veterans Day in saying “thank you for your service” to all across the Alliance who fought and defended as one team. Thank you to HRH Princess Marie of Denmark, our co-host SOWGF and Cary Harbaugh, and our intl special ops community. ?? To all our partners, allies, and friends around the world, we salute you and your families this Veterans Day on 11 Nov. Thank for your sacrifice and service. We in the United States appreciate and depend on us all standing together. ??
Make Veterans Day this year “International” Veterans Day! Salute all who served with us. Throughout our history, when threatened, we turn first to our allies. We fight, defend, and sacrifice together, but too often we forget our allies when we say “leave no one behind.” They have nothing like our Veterans Affairs (VA), public and bipartisan support, and volunteer organizations. Share that love with them and their families. They care about us and stand with us in some of the darkest places in the world, even we forget about them, even when we think just about ourselves, and even when we are hard to work with. On Veterans Day, include our allies and their families around the world, when you say, “thank you for your service.” If in the Tampa area on 11 Nov, join or support us in saluting them at our “Salute to Bravery” event, with SOWGF. At our similar event?last July, the day before the NATO Summit in DC, we honored over 30 countries’ families and veterans. With us again will be HRH Princess of Marie of Denmark. She has been with us across the country meeting with those who need a hug, a hand up, and opportunity for a next mission, to “heal together,” as we “fought together.” ?? Steve Williams Chairman? With Ukraine fighting for survival and Israel now in a multi-front war, the European Defence and Security Conference this year was not to be missed. Professor Maria López, Chief Strategy Officer at VCI, ensured we were in the room and part of the conversation. She noted that "as the defense and security industry grows, it’s clear that more and more European military personnel will be required to serve. It's our duty to ensure that those who serve can heal when they return home to the EU." Now that Europe will gain a dedicated commissioner for defense, it’s essential that veterans have a voice with decision-makers about their lives and livelihoods after service. We’re working hard to ensure they do. Take action with us → https://www.vetcoa.org/

?? This boy’s note is what drives us. …‘fight together, heal together’
“Thank you for the chance for my dad to live!” A picture drawn by the young son of an severely injured Ukrainian soldier. NordLys, Pislya Sluzhby, Veteranskytterne and VCI, support his dad’s recovery. So many more need our help. The commitment to Ukraine must be more than just transferring ammo…it needs to include rebuilding families and the country. ?? Reporting from #WarriorWeek in Copenhagen! The ???? ???? ???? ???? veterans at this weapons training, including multiple Purple Heart recipients and soldiers fresh from the battlefields in Ukraine, showed that they're still capable of hitting targets...at the range and in life. Target your gift to a specific need that we’ve identified to serve veterans and their families, especially those in the fight in Ukraine. https://lnkd.in/gZVXGWCd

VCI's origins and continued partnership through Danish colleagues empower us on our journey to link veterans across national borders. Next week we will bring together wounded warriors from US, Denmark and Ukraine to "heal togehter" at events sponsored by Danish Special Operators around Denmark. This event heps further our commitment to the second half of our motto (We fight together. We heal together.)
#Denmark is an especially vital country for #NATO and for us at #VCI. Why? Because Danes take on the hard missions and remain resolute. During the NATO mission in #Afghanistan, Danish troops were primarily stationed in Helmand province, one of the most volatile regions in the country, and experienced heavy casualties. Three Danish veterans helped found VCI and currently sit on our Board, advancing our mission to ensure that all those who served together heal together. 1?? ?? Jacob Panton is known throughout Denmark for his heroic actions on the battlefield in Afghanistan that almost cost him his life. His experience has made him a tremendous advocate for wounded warriors across the Alliance and in partner countries like Ukraine where veterans urgently need support. 2?? ?? Nikolaj Frederiksen, better known as “Blueeyes, has served in some of the most dangerous places in the world. US Navy SEALS can attest to the exceptional courage and skill of Danish Frogmen like him. 3?? ?? Speaker of the Danish Parliament, S?ren Gade is one of the rare lawmakers who can speak from experience in warzones and knows himself the sacrifices that military families make. His voice makes a difference for those veterans in the halls of political power. Also serving on VCI’s Board of Directors today is Morten Andersen, a NFL football Hall of Fame player known as “The Great Dane,” together with Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark as honorary Board Director. ???? We salute all Danish sacrifices and the Danes who champion VCI’s cause...and we'll be in Copenhagen soon for #WarriorWeek. Message us if you'd like to connect. There's lots you can do to contribute to VCI's mission in your country.?Learn more ?? https://www.vetcoa.org/
