The Vestaron team had amazing time last week at the American Pistachio Growers Annual Conference connecting with pistachio growers to discuss their crop protection needs and the powerful role SPEAR? LEP can play. Our Senior Sales Director, Bill Hume, spoke to important Ag Tech advances for local growers while on the Pistachio Power Hour panel and Emmanuel Cortes, with Kevin Brooks Horticultural Services, won our draw and took home a custom skinning knife featuring Central Valley-sourced pistachio wood handles! Overall, a fantastic time and great way to kick off another California tree nut growing season.

Our own Matt Orr VP of Regulatory, attended the annual OECD Expert Group on Biopesticides meeting, where we were excited to see regulators from OECD - OCDE member organizations come together to shape policies for biopesticide approval. With growers running out of pest control options, biocontrol solutions like peptides represent the next revolution in crop protection. Vestaron’s peptide-based SPEAR bioinsecticide has already been applied on nearly 1 million acres, delivering effective, sustainable results. As navel orangeworm (NOW) continues to cause significant losses to crop quality and yield for almond and pistachio growers, third-party research finds SPEAR? LEP delivers performance comparable to – and in some cases better than – competitive products in controlling the pervasive Lepidopteran pest.
