NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration is rethinking aerial firefighting with its Portable Airspace Management System (PAMS), a technology designed to enable 24/7 wildfire suppression using drones in low-visibility conditions. Part of the Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response Operations (ACERO) project, PAMS helps coordinate flight plans, prevent airborne conflicts, and establish communication relays—even without internet connectivity.
