Justin Samuels is not just a #TeamVertos member—he’s also the son of an “awesome” mom, Sherry Samuels. When Sherry had been experiencing back pain that started to affect her mobility and mood, Justin urged her to get screened as a candidate for the Mild Procedure. Meet Joanna King, a member of #TeamVertos. Her dad, Paul, once led an active life of fishing, hunting, and hiking, but that came to a halt when he started experiencing back pain. Joanna convinced her dad to get the Mild Procedure, and it was a success. Within a few days, Paul and Joanna were able to go for a walk to get oysters together. According to Paul’s physician, Dr. Steve Aydin of Kayal Orthopaedic Center, Paul "had such a significant outcome due to direct image review and correlation to symptoms.” That allowed Dr. Aydin to “target and maximize the Mild Procedure, giving “the patient significant pain relief and functional improvement.” We’re grateful to have fantastic team members like Joanna, who advocate for patients and their loved ones.
