With 36 years of operations experience, Todd brings a deep understanding of poultry production, logistics, and cold storage. Before transitioning to warehousing four years ago, he spent decades in leadership roles at Perdue, Wayne Farms, and Tyson, making him an expert in the unique challenges of protein supply chains. A Dothan resident for the past 21 years, Todd knows the industry and the region inside and out. ?? What does he love about Vertical Cold? "The teamwork and support. This week, meet Dan Johnson, General Manager of our Bolingbrook (Chicago) facility. With over 35 years of logistics experience, Dan brings a wealth of expertise to Vertical Cold Storage. He spent seven years in leadership roles at Preferred Freezer Services. Following the company’s acquisition in 2019, he then managed multiple facilities across the Chicago metro, supporting some of the industry’s largest customers. ?? What does he love about Vertical Cold? "The decentralization and autonomy. I get to be an entrepreneur, build a strong team, and push KPIs to drive success." ?? What makes cold storage so rewarding? "The leadership. From West down, we have the best cold storage leadership in the industry—people who truly understand the business and won’t compromise on that." ??? Something people might not know? "I just became a grandpa, and I need to get my grandson to the golf course ASAP!" ? What he enjoys in his free time: "Golf, water skiing, and spending time with family." With a decade in cold storage and a background in transportation, retail warehouse distribution, and staffing, Dorian brings a wealth of experience to our team. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he has successfully managed operations at multiple facilities in the Miami area. ?? What does he love about working in cold storage?
