关于我们

Quality matters – and so does your time. Version A is a boutique virtual agency focused on delivering authentic market-ready content to our clients, helping them save time and drive above-average performance. Our team brings editorial expertise and high standards to each piece we create. We’re exceptional researchers, excellent writers, fast learners, and style masters. We’re quick to learn your industry, business, and messaging, and we know how to adapt your brand voice to any content asset. The key to our success is a proven newsroom process, which ensures all content meets your standards – and ours. We research, draft, copyedit, fact-check, and proofread every piece. Selecting the right on-demand #brandmarketing agency is crucial for achieving your production goals and ensuring a seamless partnership. In fact, we created Version A to fill a gap we saw in the freelance/on-demand space - and we have a short checklist to share to help you find an agency that’s "just right." 1. Depth and Breadth of Expertise A suitable agency should boast a team of skilled writers, editors, and designers capable of scaling to meet diverse project demands. This ensures they can handle multiple assignments simultaneously across various industries. Additional competencies, such as public relations experience and strong editorial skills, are valuable assets. These capabilities not only guarantee quality content but also means the agency can provide expert guidance on messaging, content strategy, and public relations. 2. Reliability Timely delivery is paramount. A dependable agency will keep you informed about project progress and have a dedicated project manager overseeing schedules. This point person should exhibit strong organizational skills and maintain regular communication, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality. 3. Seamless Integration with Your Team The ideal agency will function as a natural extension of your internal team. They will proactively seek resources like buyer personas, style guides, and messaging frameworks to thoroughly understand your target audience, brand voice, and overall objectives. Their readiness to participate in meetings and delve into projects demonstrates a commitment to aligning with your company's vision. Open lines of communication and responsiveness to inquiries further solidify this collaborative relationship. 4. Intuitive Understanding of Quality Content Perhaps the most challenging quality to find is an agency's inherent grasp of what constitutes effective brand marketing. Crafting engaging, concise, and on-message copy requires years of industry experience. An agency that "just gets it" will consistently produce content that resonates with your audience and aligns with your brand's goals. Finding an agency that embodies these qualities may seem daunting, but it's worth the effort. Referrals can expedite the process by providing a shortlist of potential partners. When evaluating agencies, inquire about their experience, processes, and perspectives on content marketing. Starting with a small project can serve as a practical test before committing to a long-term partnership. Once you identify an agency that delivers exceptional content and aligns with your objectives, it's advisable to establish a lasting collaboration. By prioritizing these four qualities, you can select an on-demand brand marketing agency that not only meets your production needs but also contributes significantly to your brand's success. Tell us about your experiences with an on-demand agency and check out our blog for a deeper discussion on this topic - link in comments.

  • Great writing isn’t just about putting words on a page - it’s about refining them. Editing is where the real magic happens, transforming rough drafts into polished, compelling content. Without careful editing, even the best ideas can get lost in cluttered prose or weak messaging. At Version A, we take the editorial process seriously, following a structured, newsroom-style approach with three key steps: drafting, copy editing, and proofreading. This ensures that each piece goes through multiple revisions to enhance clarity, structure, and impact. Similarly, in his book The Work of Art: How Something Comes from Nothing, former editor of New York magazine Adam Moss breaks the creative process into three phases: imagining, judging, and shaping. While these appear to mirror our process at Version A, the judging phase isn’t the same as copyediting. The judging phase is when the real transformation happens. This is when writers subjectively assess their work and refine it. As you might have guessed, this takes time, which is why we allow ample time for the drafting phase in our process.? Then, it’s time for the copy editor to step in and do their version of judging. Copy editors play a critical role in this phase by asking four key questions: 1. Does the narrative flow logically? A great piece of writing should have a clear, cohesive structure. Editors ensure the story makes sense, supporting points are well-developed, and ideas connect smoothly. 2. Is the right amount of creativity included? Creativity makes content engaging, but it needs balance. Editors assess whether data, anecdotes, or storytelling elements enhance the message without overwhelming it. 3. Are key messages clearly conveyed? Every piece should align with the company’s goals and target audience. Editors verify that messaging is effective, relevant, and in line with the creative brief. 4. Does every word serve a purpose? Concise writing is powerful. Editors remove fluff and unnecessary words to keep the content sharp and impactful. Our editorial process has proven time and again that strong writing comes from collaboration. Writers bring expertise and creativity, while editors refine and elevate the content. Together, they ensure that every piece is not just good, but exceptional. What does the editorial process look like on your team? What works and what could use some refinement? In today’s crowded marketplace, a well-structured thought-leadership program can establish your company’s credibility and set it apart from competitors. But an effective thought-leadership program takes time - and skill. We’ve had the pleasure of helping many of our clients plan, produce, and publish the type of content that establishes authority, credibility, and trust. Whether you have years of experience in this area or are just getting your feet wet, we're sharing what we consider five essential elements to build an effective thought-leadership program. 1. Define Your Distinct Point of View (POV). A successful thought-leadership strategy starts with a clear and unique POV. Instead of repeating industry trends, focus on original insights that demonstrate your company’s expertise. What sets your approach apart? How do you envision the future of your industry? A strong POV makes your content memorable and positions your brand as a leader. 2. Build Your Reputation on Innovation Proof Points. Thought leadership isn’t about making bold claims - it’s about proving them. Your company’s reputation should be built on tangible evidence of innovation, whether it’s groundbreaking technology, unique applications of existing tools, or outstanding customer service. Use case studies, research, and real-world examples to validate your claims. 3. Amplify Your Thought-Leadership POV. Your thought-leadership messaging should be integrated across all aspects of your organization. Ensure alignment between your content marketing, PR, internal communications, sales, and demand-generation teams. When every department shares the same core messages, it reinforces your credibility and maximizes your impact. 4. Always Be Relevant. The best thought leaders engage with current trends and industry conversations. Stay on top of news, share timely insights, and be ready to offer expert commentary when relevant. Consistency and responsiveness keep your brand visible and respected in your field. 5. Leverage Your Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). No single person can carry a company’s thought leadership alone. Identify and empower multiple SMEs within your organization to share their expertise. Whether through articles, interviews, or speaking engagements, their insights will add credibility and depth to your program. By focusing on these five elements, your company can craft a thought-leadership program that builds trust, strengthens its reputation, and positions it as an authority in the industry. What are your thoughts on thought leadership? We’d love to hear them. And don't forget to check out our blog, where we dig into these elements in more detail - link in comments.? #thoughtleadership #b2bmarketing
