“What we're seeing is the shift to pull in more information upfront about the purchase that's being made, and we use that to drive the finance waterfall. So what we're seeing is a transition from a more simplistic waterfall where you just go in sequence from lender to lender, to a more dynamic workflow where we're basically looking at the purchase that is being made, the purchase volume, and some preferences from the customer coming in to direct the customer to one or two products that makes sense for them. If you give [customers] an array of 30 options to pick from in an approval screen or an approval process, that customer is overwhelmed. They're not going to actually have a good experience with that even though they have a wide selection of those offers.
