The public comment periods for the projects listed here opened during the week of September 30. This week's listing includes projects seeking registration and/or verification in the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta), and Plastic Programs. The projects are located in various geographic regions, including in India, South America, Korea, and Vietnam, and are implementing a broad range of activities, including those related to biochar production, landfill gas capture and utilization, methane emission reduction in dairy farming, and more. ?? Impact Highlight: Collectively, these projects could reduce and/or remove over 1,930,000+ tCO2e from the atmosphere and 1,009 metric tonnes of plastic from the environment, helping to accelerate our transition to a more sustainable future. ?? Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Methodology Revision VMR0004 Improved Efficiency of Fleet Vehicles, v2.0 is?a revision to VMR0004 Revisions to AMS-III.BC to Include Mobile Machinery, v1.0. This methodology applies to project activities that improve the efficiency of vehicle fleets, including transport vehicles and mobile machinery, resulting in reduced greenhouse gas emissions from fuel and electricity consumption. ??Verra has opened a public consultation on a minor revision to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) TOOL07: Tool to calculate the emission factor for an electricity system, v7.0. The consultation is open through Monday, November 4, 2024. ?? The revised tool will be published in Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program. The proposed updates aim to align the tool with the Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) Assessment Framework of the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM). ?? TOOL07 is used to calculate the grid emission factor for grid-connected renewable energy projects, among others. The suggested changes would improve the accuracy of these emission reduction calculations while ensuring conservativeness.? ?
