It’s a saying for a reason: Teamwork makes the dream work. Yesterday, our New York corporate employees enjoyed a special day of team building, learning and professional growth hosted by VB You—our employee-led corporate culture initiative. Working together in cross-functional groups, the sessions focused on communication, collaboration and engaging a growth mindset to achieve powerful results. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and who helped make it a huge success!

We recently hosted a group of students from the Global Career Solutions group and gave them a tour of our NYC office. Global Career Solution (GCS) established in 2005, is dedicated to providing international college students with internship opportunities in New York that align with their field of major, offering exposure to diverse cultures, and facilitating career development. Sponsored by universities, GCS connects passionate interns with companies, enriching business productivity with talents and innovative ideas Over the past decade, GCS has maintained a successful partnership with Veronica Beard, recommending interns for roles in production, design, product development, fabric, etc. Our interns consistently gain an invaluable and unforgettable experience at the company. Highlights of the experience include learning and networking opportunities, a friendly company atmosphere, global perspective, and robust career development. We are excited to continue our partnership with GCS!

Today, the VB You Leadership Committee hosted another Lunch & Learn session with Juliet Baker, our VP of Retail as the featured speaker. Juliet shared her insights and perspectives on leadership, how she got to where she is today, followed by an engaging Q&A session.

Thank you to our VB members who volunteered today at another one of our monthly volunteer sessions with Louise’s Pantry at Nazareth Housing! ? At Louise’s Pantry, families work with pantry volunteers to hand-select food items that best suit the nutritional needs of their households. Stocked with fresh fruits, seasonal vegetables, cereals, baby formula and much more, Louise’s Pantry fills critical food gaps and helps ease the financial stress of putting food on the table each day.

Today, the VB You Leadership Committee hosted a Leadership Lunch & Learn session—a monthly fireside chat with one of our very own VB leaders—with speaker Rachel Goldflam, our SVP of Brand Marketing. Rachel shared her leadership insights, how she got to where she is today, followed by an engaging Q&A session. ? Our monthly VB You Leadership Lunch & Learn series provides a unique opportunity for the VB team to learn from and participate in informal conversation with our VB leaders about their career journeys and perspectives on leadership over a catered lunch.??

In honor of Black History Month, VB You—Veronica Beard’s employee-led corporate culture initiative—hosted a company-wide talk at our HQ on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in fashion with RAISEfashion, an organization dedicated to supporting, mentoring, and elevating BIPOC talent and brands. We had an insightful and engaging conversation with Whitney Jordan, Chief of Staff; Felita Harris, founding Board Member and consulting Chief Revenue Officer; and Alexa Geovanos, Co-Founding Board Member and former Brand President of Chloé, North and South America. The conversation was moderated by our very own President Stephanie Unwin and Yohanna Pepa, Chief of Staff & VB You Diversity Chair. The discussion was an important reminder of how community and collective action can be harnessed to drive progress and champion industry change. We also had a delicious lunch catered by Pig & Butter, a Black- and woman-owned restaurant in NYC's Lower East Side. We’re excited to be partnering with RAISEfashion going forward on their internship and mentorship programming, and we look forward to the important work ahead.
