The first album from VERO Music artist in five years has landed. Until the Ribbon Breaks opens an exciting new era of innovation with the much-anticipated ‘V I S I T O R,’ alongside the release of the track ‘HUMAN.’ Working within a ‘hauntingly compelling electronic-pop framework’, UTRB built ‘V I S I T O R’ during what he describes as a period of renewed emotional and creative clarity resulting from his hard-won sobriety. "These songs were not originally intended to take the shape of an album. I simply started to write and record them out of a desire to recapture the joy of making music.” In the days leading up to the release of ‘V I S I T O R,’ UTRB took to the iconic Dreamland Margate stage in Kent (England) for the Margate Summer Series. Here he is performing ‘For The Birds’ - track one from the album.

Creating Successful Communities on VERO Since joining VERO in 2017, I have been making real, lasting connections with like minded individuals. From photographers, to explorers, from coffee lovers to poets. Last year, I decided to create a private community for female photographers - somewhere we could hang out, create and voice our opinions within a closed group. The Shutter Sisters account was born. I asked two female photographers to help me run it, with the hope that it might become popular. Initially, I was hoping for about 20 - 40 women but as of today we have over 150 community members! Our posts are mostly private, taking advantage of VEROs audience filters. We can post just to the members of the group, they can reply and comment but only the group members can see these. We also occasionally post publicly, just so the wider VERO community can see what we’re up to and to give other ladies the chance to join up. So far, we’ve completed three activities; 1: Getting to know you. We asked the community members to pair themselves up in twos or threes, choose a theme and work together to each produce one image. We asked them to post the image publicly, using a Shutter Sisters hashtag and explain what their theme was about. 2: Abstract Photography was our second activity. We asked one of the community members to help us with this one as the first challenge had been so successful. With four of us answering questions, encouraging our members and generally getting stuck in, this second activity was a huge success. 3: Light & Shadows was our third activity. Keeping with the format of the second activity, we invited another community member who is an expert in this field to help out. This challenge has just finished and was just as popular as the first two. VERO is perfect for setting up communities. Members send a connection request to the account before being granted membership by one of the moderators. Members are classed as ‘Acquaintances’ and we can create posts that only they can see. The wider VERO community can still follow but will only see public posts. The first line of every post states whether it is public or private - that way members can see very easily whether any comments can be seen outside of the community. Unlike other social media platforms, these communities are truly safe space for sharing. The VERO platform isn’t about the number of followers, comments or likes you might get on other social media platforms. It’s much deeper than that. It’s about making real friends, connecting people with the same interests and freeing yourself up from the constraints of always posting the same type of image to feed the algorithms. In fact, with VERO, there are no algorithms (or advertising). Followers only see the posts from the people they follow. And it’s chronological. Simple. VERO True Social #photography #socialmedia
