Vernon Area librarian Mary Robinson's review of THE CORRESPONDENT by Virginia Evans made this month's edition of #LibraryReads, a nationwide Top Ten list created by library staff. The list taps the incredible power that libraries have to help build word-of-mouth for new books and create audiences for all kinds of authors. https://libraryreads.org/

Storyteller (80+ times Moth Slam winner) creator, producer, host of 80 MAW Immigration Stories Show. National Storytelling Network 2022 Grand Slam winner and published author of a book title YOUR DRIVER HAS ARRIVED
Yesterday, we had an amazing time sharing our immigration stories at Vernon Area Public Library. I shared a couple of my stories, but we also heard Juliet story of escaping trans persecution in El Salvador, we learn about Fara’s search for her artist’s voice, Basir told us about losing everything after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Raj delighted us recounting how complicated is to order coffee in a new country, Lani told us about having to channel her mother’s strength to face immigration officials.? After the show we got to meet and share a meal, ideas, dreams and plan with members of Green Card Voices . It is such a blessing to be able to provide a platform to the stories of immigrants, refugees, their descendants and allies. If you want us to bring our show to your library, college or school feel free to contact me at https://lnkd.in/gfemKb8A
