Our staff worked hard after the flooding this summer, but we found ways to lighten the mood a bit by getting our kids involved as well. Brad's toddler tagged along to inspect infrastructure for flood damage. Liz's 5-year-old delivered supplies and a meal to the crew in Plainfield. And Wayne's son, a wastewater operator for the Town of St Johnsbury, is always willing to help—and we were able to return the favor when St J experienced flooding in late July. Chris Robinson has worked in Shelburne’s wastewater department for over 25 years and will be retiring next spring. Chris talked about his career and some of his favorite memories in a recent interview (link in comments)

Hurricane Beryl is forecasted to bring as much as 4 to 6 inches of rain to Vermont from Wednesday through Friday, which could cause localized flash flooding. We encourage water and wastewater systems to be prepared!
