The 2024 Vermont Green FC Environmental Justice Mission Report documents and gives context to the progress made by our organization during the calendar year. We are so grateful for the countless contributors to our broad, collaborative effort to advance the causes of environmental stewardship and social justice through soccer, with a focus on the communities and ecosystems—in which we live and play—here in Vermont.

Vermont Green Football Club announced today that Chris Taylor has been promoted to Head Coach ahead of the 2025 USL League Two season. The Liverpool-native and current Head Coach of State University of New York at Plattsburgh Men’s Soccer program has served as Assistant Coach since Vermont Green FC’s inaugural season in 2022. Adam Pfeifer—Head Coach and Sporting Director for three seasons from 2022 to 2024—will continue his duties as Sporting Director. Read More: https://lnkd.in/eYgnQarg

University of Vermont Men’s Soccer are National Champions! Congratulations on the outstanding and historic accomplishment made by Rob Dow, the Men’s Soccer program, and University of Vermont Athletics! We’re still in awe of what unfolded over the last month. We know that many years of hard work and dedication went into building a team and culture deserving of this milestone. As fans, it was the ride of a lifetime, and incredible to see the University and entire state of Vermont rally behind the team throughout this tournament run. There has never been a better time to be growing Vermont soccer. We’re incredibly grateful to be a part of this collective community and to have the opportunity to work alongside the University in its vision for the game in our state. Vermont Green Football Club has announced a partnership with The Busyhead Project, a mental health initiative founded by Noah Kahan aimed at raising awareness, reducing stigma, and providing resources, specifically in rural communities. Noah Kahan and The Busyhead Project will sell a limited edition co-branded Vermont Green FC cap and jersey, with 100% of proceeds donated to The Busyhead Project.

Vermont Green FC is delighted to announce our partnership with Ceres Collaborative, a local cannabis dispensary that shares our commitment to environmental justice through criminal justice reform advocacy. Not only are Ceres aligned with our mission goals, but they also develop wonderful products, including a CBD Salve and “Vermont Greens”, a restorative blend sold in pre-roll 3-packs. 1% of all sales will be donated to Last Prisoner Project to help fight for cannabis prisoners’ freedoms. We're eager to use this partnership as an opportunity to ignite more meaningful conversations about cannabis in sports. In the sports industry specifically, we believe an openness around the topic can help destigmatize its use by athletes. We know that cannabis products have numerous clean and safe benefits for the physical and mental well-being of athletes, and they should have the ability to utilize these benefits without risking their careers. Vermont Green FC’s 2025 Season Tickets are sold out, the club announced on Tuesday. The 1,300 season tickets—which went on sale to the public on Monday—sold out in just over 24 hours.

Vermont Green's 2024 season came to a close last week, and as we reflect on our third season, the overwhelming emotion is pride and appreciation for every individual building this club alongside us. This season delivered some incredible new heights, from beating our first professional opponents in the historic US Open Cup, to playing our first Women's Match alongside coach Samantha Mewis, to our largest average attendance per match (2,431), with six consecutive sell out home matches to close out our season. We're happy to share our 2024 season recap that highlights some more milestones from this season.
