ACCD accomplishes this mission by providing grants, technical assistance, and advocacy through three divisions: The Department of Economic Development, the Department of Tourism and Marketing, and the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Last week, a Vermont delegation was in Austria, building relationships in Styria, a region with which we share many similarities. Our team is looking forward to continuing to connect with compatible businesses and explore bilateral trade growth opportunities!??????
A warm welcome to our distinguished visitors from the State of Vermont, who will be visiting Steiermark - Das Grüne Herz in Austria this week. On the agenda: learning first-hand about Austrian #workforce #development and work-based learning initiatives. The relationship between Austria and Vermont is long and multifaceted. Everyone who has seen the Sound of Music will recognize the Trapp Family Lodge, and of course alpine skiing ??has a long tradition in both places. Today, Austria and Vermont both have advanced economies with a shared focus on #cleantech, #renewables, and #semiconductors. In 2022, the valuable collaboration between the Vermont National Guard and Austria was formalized under a State Partnership Program agreement. This was followed by an MOU in 2023 to collaborate on #apprenticeship programs. Vermont is the 14th U.S. state, nicknamed the ?Green Mountain State“. With just under 650,000 residents, Vermont shares a border with Canada, New York, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Vermont leads the nation in maple syrup production as well as breweries per capita ??Their number one export product is semiconductors.
