“Sustainable agriculture is the future of farming – providing farmers with both an economic and environmental edge. By leveraging practices like low- or no-till farming systems, improved fertilizer management, and conservation crop rotation, farmers can improve crop and soil health while improving efficiencies and profitability.” Read Verity agronomist Jonah Olson’s new op-ed in Progressive Farmer here: #commodityclassic2025 #elevatingexcellence

We are excited that this farmer-centric agreement reinforces Verity and Landus' commitment to expanding opportunities in international markets for sustainably certified products, such as those derived from regeneratively grown soybeans and corn. By streamlining the certification and data-verification process, the partnership aims to deliver measurable premiums to farmers meeting program requirements while incentivizing processors to adopt efficiency-enhancing systems that drive long-term sustainable outcomes. Farmer-owners interested in participating in sustainability initiatives or learning more about market premiums can contact their local Landus representative.
We are pleased to announce that Gevo's subsidiary Verity Carbon Solutions and Landus have a new agreement aimed at unlocking added value for farmers through sustainability premiums via export markets. As part of this partnership, Landus and Verity plan to expand data-verification efforts to additional Landus facilities and pilot innovative market solutions. By sharing regular progress updates, they remain committed to building trust and transparency with farmer-owners and stakeholders. This collaboration leverages Verity’s advanced platform to track and verify the attributes of agricultural products, enabling Landus to document and assign value metrics for soybeans processed at its soybean facility in Ralston, Iowa. Congratulations to Landus, the program partners, and the 50+ farmers who demonstrated that sustainable farming practices can lower carbon intensity scores and create real value for the crops.
Last week, Landus celebrated a major achievement in our Carbon Intensity (CI) Pilot Program. Over $420K in payments were delivered to 50+ Iowa farmers for their 2024 low CI corn crop, covering more than 20,000 acres. In collaboration with?Gevo, Inc., Verity Carbon Solutions, and Friona Industries LP, this program has connected farmers and end users, demonstrating that sustainable farming practices can lower CI scores and deliver tangible rewards. It’s a key step in preparing for 45Z and a milestone that underscores Landus’ leadership in sustainable agriculture. This is just the beginning as we expand efforts to ensure farmers are rewarded for their sustainability initiatives. ???Watch the video to hear directly from Landus President & CEO Matt Carstens and participating growers about how this program is making a difference for their farms and our environment. #TheLandusWay #Sustainability #LowCICorn #Milestone #Gevo #Verity #Friona
