Excited to be a part of these important conversations on data collaboration in the fight against human trafficking.
I help national and state leaders combat human trafficking with data and tech. Building a future where every community has the data it needs to see and prevent exploitation.
Yesterday at the National Press Club, something special happened. Leaders from across the anti-trafficking movement gathered with a shared mission: to reimagine how we use data to fight trafficking. For too long, we've worked in silos. But in that room, with some of the foremost experts who've dedicated 15-20 years to this fight, the energy was electric. It felt more like a gathering of friends who were co-laboring toward a common vision. It was a day Allies Against Slavery has been working toward for many years. From policy leaders to survivor leaders, from federal law enforcement to grassroots organizations, from tech leaders to researchers, the message was clear: this is a special moment. There was humility, honesty, and hope. We agreed we can build the solution we know we need. A few key takeaways: ? We need better data standards and sharing protocols ? Survivor voices must be central to data governance ? Trust and transparency are foundational ? Quick wins can maintain momentum while we build for the long-term Special thanks to our visionary partners who made this possible: Dropbox, HPE, The Living Waters Foundation, The Patrick J McGovern Foundation, and The Jensen Project. This wasn't a conference - it was an important step toward a future where every community has the data it needs to prevent trafficking. Watch for exciting updates about where this conversation goes next. We have to roll up our sleeves and work collaboratively. The momentum is building. The expertise is assembled. The vision is clear. This is just the beginning. #HumanTrafficking #DataAnalytics #SocialImpact #TechForGood #CollaborativeAction #AntiTrafficking PS - I can't tag 75 people here -- so many wonderful attendees! But a very special thanks to our panelists, speakers, and on-the-ground team. Janet Jensen Pam Wood Martina Vandenberg Kristin Boorse Brook Bello phd Elizabeth C. Fay Joan A.
