HLTH USA 2024 brought together over 12,000 people to Las Vegas, an area with over 2.5M residents and 300K tourists daily. In partnership with Southern Nevada Health District and the Clark County Water Reclamation District, Verily piloted a comprehensive wastewater monitoring program pre, during and after the event to measure the concentration of 8 different pathogens. Genomic data is generated from millions of individuals worldwide, offering opportunities to drive research and improve clinical care. Sharing this data is critical to advancing discovery in precision medicine. Collectively, we can and should do more to enable genomic data sharing.
