?? We just boosted energy efficiency for a Chicagoland fast food chain with a cutting-edge HVAC system! ?? This project was a team effort, combining a super-efficient VRF heat pump system with an Energy Recovery Ventilator that reclaims 93% of ventilation energy! We had a wide variety of partners to get something so complicated done in such a short time frame. This system dramatically decreases the energy usage by combining a VRF heat pump system with an Energy Recovery Ventilator. Did somebody say 'kayak'? Hot diggity dog, SUM! You planned a doozy of a team-building event. Here we were, glidin' down the Des Plaines River like a bunch of expert boaters! And let me tell ya, with those high waters, paddlin' was easier than fallin' off a log... well, maybe not that easy, but definitely easier than climbin' up one! Our favorite part - the Great Blue Heron that joined us for the journey and looked after us. All in all, a super time was had by all!

A hot and fun day at the Midlothian Public Library. Two more EV Car Chargers available to help encourage the community to consider Electric Vehicle for their next car, or charge one quickly if they have one at home now. Libraries make wonderful places for public access for many reasons - but mostly because they are a place for the community and paid for by the community. While it was so hot outside one of our phones shut down - the EV Car Charger kept on doing its job while we cooled off inside.

We are excited to be training with Kelvin and Elevate on a new technology that uses older boiler systems below 30 degrees, and a window based heat pump technology for heating above 30 and cooling. Excited to see how this may help our multifamily customers lower their energy usage. The transition from horses to cars took 50 years for NYC, and gas to electric lights the same in London. How long will this transition take? Since we are about 10 years in right now, will it take another 40 years to decarbonize building stock? Evanston and Oak Park have banned natural gas for heating in new construction. Chicago is also considering it under CABO, which may pass this year. Will bans on fossil fuels move this transition faster, or get push back and slow it down? We don't know. But we sure do love heat pump. Elegant and better comfort for building tenants and far less carbon emissions in Illinois. https://lnkd.in/gSJMkVE4
