"I have been with Vera for nearly 16 years and have found the organization to be one that truly cares for its employees. I have never had or seen another employer wrap its arms around its employees the way Vera does. I am very fortunate to be with an organization that has allowed me to progress in my career and contribute to its mission of improving systematic justice reform."

What is the Vera Institute of Justice?
We are a 60-year old criminal justice reform non-profit organization that seeks to drive change, urgently build and improve justice systems that ensure fairness, promote safety, and strengthen communities. We work with others who share our vision to tackle injustices of our day from the causes and consequences of mass incarceration, racial disparities, the loss of public trust in law enforcement, to the unmet needs of the vulnerable, the marginalized, and those harmed by crime and violence.

As an employer of choice in our field, supporting Vera staff—both personally and professionally—is a priority. To do this, we invest in the well-being of our employees through above market rate compensation, student loan repayment benefits, generous assisted reproductive technology coverage through our comprehensive medical insurance plan, paid leave time including Paid Family Leave, employer retirement savings contributions, and wellness initiatives throughout the year.
