We’re gearing up for a big weekend in Columbus as we launch our most robust city fleet yet ????? Thousands of vehicles will be available when our fleet is fully deployed, offering five ride options—from standing scooters and pedal bikes to seated scooters and electric bikes—giving residents more options to get where they need to go. At least 50% of our Columbus fleet will be seated vehicles to ensure access for riders of diverse ages and abilities. We are grateful for our partners at the City of Columbus and the opportunity to introduce a new chapter of mobility in the city. Let’s ride! Via Lydia Taylor Spectrum News:

When I first stepped into the transportation industry at Veo, there weren’t many women at the table—and honestly, there still aren’t. Women make up just 29% of the transit workforce and hold just 20% of leadership roles. On #InternationalWomensDay, we celebrate the contributions of women across our industry while recognizing the barriers that persist. But progress—though slow—is happening. When we bring people with diverse lived experiences to the table, we get transportation systems that serve diverse needs. That means well-lit bus stops that make nighttime travel safer, micromobility systems that offer a safe alternative to walking home alone at night, transit that accommodates caregivers with strollers, protected bike lanes that help riders of all ages and abilities feel secure, and service schedules that work for shift workers—not just the 9-to-5 commuter. These aren’t just “women’s issues.” They’re core mobility issues. And when more voices are represented in leadership, these priorities get the attention they deserve. Today isn’t just about celebrating progress—it’s about demanding more. To every woman shaping the future of transportation: Keep pushing. Keep leading. We see you. We need you. #IWD2025 #WomenInTransportation

One of my favorite parts of working at Veo is running our annual rider survey—it’s a treasure trove of data that helps us understand why people use shared scooters and bikes. Last fall, a record 12,000+ riders shared their experiences with us, and their feedback sends a clear message: micromobility isn’t just a convenience—it’s a necessity. Riders depend on Veo to get to work, pick up groceries, and move freely in their communities. Some key highlights: ?? 40% of riders don’t have access to a car and 28% don’t have a driver’s license ?? Over half of riders said they’d use Veo more often if vehicles were designed to carry groceries or accommodate two riders ?? Year after year, riders rank protected bike lanes as the #1 factor that makes them feel safe At Veo, we take rider feedback to heart. It drives us to invest in new vehicle types, improve accessibility, and advocate for safer, more connected neighborhoods. Hear more about what we’re learning and how we’re taking action in this story from Zag Daily. Thanks, Ben Hubbard William Dodds for the opportunity to nerd out with you on survey data ?? We’re already gearing up to develop our next survey, and I’d love to hear from you—if you could ask 12,000 micromobility riders one question, what would it be? ???
Veo - one of the largest micromobility operators and manufacturers in the US - has exclusively revealed the findings of its annual rider survey.? With more than 12,000 responses, the results provide fascinating reading - almost 1/3 of Veo riders don’t have a driver’s license, while 40% don’t own or have access to a car. “This survey busts a lot of myths that surround micromobility,” Paige Miller, Senior Manager for Policy and Communications at Veo,” tells Zag Daily. “Our riders told us that shared scooters and bikes aren’t just a convenience – they are essential. Micromobility is how they get to work and pick up groceries, it is part of their everyday lives.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/euPkYvN7

We are deeply saddened by the impact the Palisades Fire has had on the community. Veo has been a major mobility partner to the City of Santa Monica and broader LA community since 2022. The community holds a special place in my heart because this is where our headquarters and our home are located. As this disaster continues to unfold, we’ve seen how the fire has severely impacted many Santa Monica residents. Challenges such as traffic gridlock, power outages (EV charging issue), increased demand and pricing on ride-sharing, and limited public transport options have significantly complicated evacuation efforts. Micromobility services are crucial in helping residents evacuate quickly, affordably, and reliably. As the industry leader, we feel this is a critical moment for us to fulfill our social responsibilities. We have decided to take the following initiatives: 1. Waive the unlock fee for all rides and provide ride credits for all LA customers 2. Extend our service area temporarily to cover all nearby evacuation centers (e.g., Westwood Recreation Center) 3. Make all trips ending at evacuation centers completely free 4. Apply these benefits to all of our 1,000+ e-bikes and scooters across the entire LA market When Candice Xie and I started Veo in 2017, we wanted to build a company that could have a positive impact on cities. I am proud to see that micromobility is not only helping people enjoy their commutes during regular days but more importantly, playing a vital role in helping people and cities during crises. https://lnkd.in/g6Ve48xg

I’m grateful to have had the chance to sit down with Athena Browning and Ben Hubbard at Zag Daily to celebrate yet another outstanding year for Veo! Today, Veo stands as one of the largest micromobility providers in North America, now operating in over 50 U.S. cities with an impressive 95% of these markets profitable and cash-flow positive. With 8% year-over-year profit growth and consistently improving margins, we continue to raise the bar for what’s possible in our industry. 2024 was a milestone year! We scaled to exciting new cities with long-term contracts and partnerships, introduced innovative vehicle types to meet the needs of diverse user groups and elevate their experiences, and embraced cutting-edge technology transforming parking and accessibility. These advancements have propelled Veo forward, fostering impactful growth and meaningful connections in the communities we serve. None of this would have been possible without the unmatched talent and commitment of our team. ?? To our operations teams, ensuring our fleets run safely and smoothly in the field. ?? To our tech innovators, who turn ideas into game-changing solutions. ?? To our partnership builders, who foster invaluable relationships with cities across the nation. And to the countless others who contribute their energy, creativity, and expertise every single day—you are the heart and soul of Veo. Your passion and dedication are the reasons behind this year’s achievements. Thank you for making an impact, not just within Veo, but in every community we serve. Here’s to an even brighter, bolder, and more impactful 2025. The best is yet to come! ?? ?? ?
It’s a Wrap: Veo CEO Candice Xie reflects on a game-changing 2024 that saw them achieve market profitability, launch innovative vehicles, and partner with new markets to drive sustainable urban mobility. Now a top micromobility provider in North America, the company operates in over 50 cities, proving that sustainable, two-wheel solutions are a critical part of the urban transport puzzle. “In 2024, we entered 10 new markets, including NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Cleveland, Ohio, and Queens, NYC. Looking ahead, we’re set to launch in at least four more markets in spring 2025, including Columbus and Ohio State University, all under exclusive, long-term contracts.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gzrGDc9M
