Die neue S3 Leitlinie Diagnostik, Therapie und Nachsorge der peripheren arteriellen Verschlusskrankheit wertet die spezielle Gef??pr?paration aufgrund der zunehmend positiven Studiendaten deutlich auf, da die Ballonangioplastie (POBA) ineffizient ist und in Metaanalysen als inad?quate L?sionpr?paration identifiziert wurde (siehe Anhang). Auszug aus der S3 Leitlinie (https://lnkd.in/ew88m7qQ) 5.4.3.7 Gef??pr?paration Spezielle interventionelle Verfahren wie Atherektomie, Cutting-Balloon-Technik, Rotationsthrombektomie, Lithotrypsie und Laserangioplastie k?nnen somit prim?r zur Erh?hung der technischen Erfolgsrate oder bei Versagen der genannten interventionellen Standardverfahren zus?tzlich eingesetzt werden.

Outstanding case Dr Michael Lichtenberg, MD utilizing the FLEX Vessel Prep System!
Of course, POBA would have been possible for this BTK disease in a R5 patient. Unfortunately, POBA is associated with dissections and recoil in these long segment interventions. Multiple lesion prep devices are available, some already proved to be more effective than POBA. The FlexVessel Prep blade angioplasty device for ATK and BTK intervention is currently analyzed in our ARNSBERG ART registry. More details can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ekujzf_z
