I had the opportunity to attend the "1st National NBM- RTTO Technology Licensing Event " It was an excellent platform that allowed me to explore diverse perspectives on tech transfer and licensing, engage with stakeholders including other RTTO partners, innovators, industry partners, and different representatives from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) #NBM and Sathguru Management Consultants(SMC). I particularly enjoyed meeting in person delegates from #NBM-BIRAC, SMC,?different industry partners, inventors and other #RTTO representatives. Interacting with Industry gave me a perspective of what industry looks for in any technology and more importantly what draws their attention. ?It was pleasant to meet all different RTTOS and understand what activities each one is engaged in. There was a sense of a little competition and lots of cooperation with each other.? Additionally, it was a happy coincidence to meet Ana Avaliani & Clémentine Flack from Royal Academy of Engineering who visited TechEx.in's booth and interacted and appreciated our Tech-transfer efforts The highlight was the group photograph where there was a sense of all of us contributing together to form a vibrant ecosystem! Indeed a proud moment for me to represent TechEx- Technology Transfer Hub Listening to different pitches from different TTOS gave me an understanding of the varied work being done in the domain of #Biopharma and #MedTech. As one of the RTTOs, It felt good to be appreciated by Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director #BIRAC and to understand from him the #IP and #techtransfer ecosystem. It was heartening to hear from Dr. Raj K Shirumalla, Mission Director #NBM, regarding the combined achievements of all the RTTOs. These interactions provided a well-rounded understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and ongoing initiatives in this space. It was especially great to learn about the efforts of BIRAC and NBM in strengthening tech transfer frameworks and fostering industry-academia collaboration, a much needed move. I look forward to seeing the impact of these initiatives unfold in the coming years. Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Venture Center (Official Account), the supporting ICP for Royal Academy of Engineering LIF Global 2025, at their ICE held at T-Works. ?? The 4-day ICE for 11 innovators/startups selected from all across the country, was meticulously planned to include talks & panel discussions addressing the challenges associated with local entrepreneurial ecosystem. It featured classroom training workshops on topics such as impact measurement, the theory of change canvas, and business simulation, along with 1:1 pitch mentoring. The program also incorporated an industry visit followed by an engineering challenge, mock pitching sessions, and a pitch showcase before key ecosystem stakeholders. ?? Kudos to the primary ICP Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), WASH Innovation Hub (WIH) team for their efforts in ensuring the smooth execution of this event! ?? The RAE team also launched a digital handbook, a practical guide for academic entrepreneurs in India, designed to clarify and streamline the spinout process for prospective innovators on Day 1 of the program.
