Curious how top engineers stay at the forefront of AI? With the launch of AI Digest, led by our own Ilya Roger, we’re giving you a peek into the rapidly evolving world of AI innovation. "I’ve been working with large language models (LLMs) for over a year, and I launched ChefGPT, a project that gained traction after GPT-3’s release in March 2023. I also host the AI Digest bi-weekly on our EDU Channel to keep colleagues updated on the latest developments." What AI tools do you use in your work? "I often use ChatGPT for brainstorming and debugging code. I also interact with GPT-4 using the OpenAI iOS app, especially its voice feature." What tips can you offer for working more efficiently with AI tools? "Make sure your prompts are precise and include all relevant information for the best results. Interestingly, mentioning urgency or danger often prompts more effective responses from the model." Ilya also highlights trends like advancements in text-to-video models, more sophisticated LLMs, and the local deployment of models like GPT-3 on personal devices.

Meet Tatsiana Zhvalik, group manager at Vention and a seasoned expert in manual testing with over 10 years of experience. "As a mentor, I’ve guided over 15 junior QAs into senior roles and grew my team from 5 to 21 members in just one year. My approach is built on consistent support and transparency," Tatsiana shares. How has your role evolved over the years? "I began as a mid-level QA engineer and eventually led a team of 12 engineers on a major project. In 2020, I stepped up as group manager for the QA department." What are your responsibilities as a group manager? "I oversee both manual and automation QA processes, track financial and team KPIs, develop growth strategies, assign team managers and mentors, lead hiring, and conduct performance reviews. My focus is on maintaining high standards and fostering continuous improvement." How do you handle conflicts within your team? "Conflicts are rare, thanks to the open communication culture I’ve fostered. I make time for anyone with concerns and work collaboratively to find solutions," says Tatsiana.
