If you already teach an in-person course, why not make it an online course? You only need to film that course once, review some of the visual content, and then update periodically. And that frees up time to: 1. teach more people 2. give more feedback to those you already teach 3. spend more time on the beach! feat Vensight Learn #onlinelearning #elearning #professionaldevelopment #videolearning #edtech

According to Coursera, the max length of an online lecture should be 20 minutes, and more like 10-12 minutes. But it's a bit like asking how long a paragraph should be. It depends. Watch below. At Vensight Learn, when we produce a course we advise the teacher to take the class as they would in person and treat the camera like a student: Ask the student questions to make sure they understand, take breaks for coffee when you've covered a heavy topic, and soon you'll figure out where the natural breaks are. With online, there are no hard rules. Let the content determine the length. And just as sometimes you can have a paragraph that is just one word, you may have an online lecture that is just one minute.
