?? Cybersecurity Alert from Brian Marshall, our Virtual CIO! ?? Our very own Brian Marshall was featured on Erie News Now to help keep our community safe from the growing threat of smishing (SMS phishing). ?? Smishing is a type of cybercrime where scammers send text messages pretending to be an official source, tricking people into giving away personal info. Recently, scammers have been impersonating PA Toll texts asking for money or details. But remember: PENNDOT will never ask for payment or personal info via text! ?? Brian's tips to stay safe: Don't click on suspicious links. Don't respond to these messages. Verify the source through official channels (but never call the number in the text). Stay calm and collected. Stay vigilant, Erie! ???? Listen to the full interview - https://lnkd.in/gPbnWfQv #Cybersecurity #Smishing #StaySafe #ErieNewsNow #CIOAdvice
