Tulsa’s manufacturing community is strong, and its future is bright! Alro Steel is proud to have sponsored the Emerging Manufacturers Luncheon and awards. Thank you to Sheila Shook and Tulsa Ports for putting it all together and Tulsa Tech for hosting and their culinary program for the food. It was great to meet students in manufacturing programs from across the area. We talked to students aged from 14 to 22. Lots of bright futures. Those that study the photos will see that Mike Payne, owner of Hill Manufacturing & Fabrication was a panelist with young leaders from The Bama Companies, Inc and AAON, Inc. Great insights for the young leaders in attendance, the student honorees, and all the other manufacturing students in attendance. Schools with students in attendance included: Tulsa Tech Tulsa Community College Union Public Schools Catoosa High School Booker T. Washington High School and other Tulsa Public Schools: McClain High School for Science and Technology and Will Rogers High School Industry honorees included emerging leaders from: Zeeco, Inc. Webco Industries Hill Manufacturing & Fabrication DGP Manufacturing Velocity Custom Fabrication, Inc. Tristar Glass, Inc. Linde Engineering Greenheck Group Also honored were excellent educators, Caleb Crall of Tulsa Community College and Dr Hitesh Vora of Oklahoma State University Congratulations to all those honored today!
