According to a 2023 study from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Army has the highest percentage of American Veterans. Followed by Navy, Air Force, Marines, Reserve Forces, and then Non-Defense, including the Coast Guard. Several Texas based companies are among the best employers for Veterans according to a recent survey. USAA, HEB, Dell, AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Texas Instruments, and Waste Management all made the list of 150 companies. Texas was also named the top hiring region for veterans. With over 24,000 veterans surveyed, it is just more evidence that Texas is a great place for veterans to live and work! Today, we honor the men and women who have served our country with courage and selflessness. Veterans Day is a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have answered the call to protect our freedoms, often at great personal cost. Whether you served decades ago or recently returned home, you carry stories, memories, and experiences that have shaped who you are and inspire all of us. For those of us who haven’t worn the uniform, it’s hard to fully understand the weight you bear, but we see and respect the resilience and strength it takes to continue to serve in countless ways beyond the battlefield.
