At VEJA, we do nothing. What we do in fact is?connect?amazing projects to one another. We go on field, we discover amazing organic cotton producers, wild rubbers tappers in the Amazon... At the end of the day, we think the reality?of the field is more interesting than any fancy advertising.

When stores become football stadiums.... In Paris,?New York, Madrid and Berlin we turned our store windows in football fans seats for the launch of our new model : The Panenka For the windows of our VEJA stores, we played with football codes, adding stadium seatings in Paris, and football nets. For?the stadium seating, we contacted Le Parpaing, a reuse material store?in Roubaix, France. Their goal is to put second-hand materials back into use. At first, we rented the seating, but we loved it so much that we ended up buying it to install in our Paris offices. The Panenka ??

Does everybody want to have his/her sneakers repaired ? In the 1950s, France had 50,000 shoe repair shops. In 2023 remained only 3,000 cobbler shops. Those places were only repairing leather shoes, expensive boots, and were using sneakers, because they did not have the machinery. And even the clients did not know that sneakers could be fixed. ? Because of those reasons, traditional cobbler shops did not fix the sneakers, and everybody thought it was cheaper to buy new ones. In 2019, we realized we could try to repair sneakers. To try to give them a longer life. We truly believed in the sentence : "The most ecological shoes are?the ones you already wear" So, we started fixing them, opening cobbler shops everywhere : in Paris, in New York, in London, in Madrid, in Berlin... Every time we were opening a place, we added a cobbler space. And we are still surprised to see it works so well : 1 month waiting list in a lot of our cobbler spaces... And we repair all the brands, from luxury sneakers brands like Margiela, Comme des Gar?ons, Yves Saint Laurent?to Nike, Adidas, Puma etc... In Paris, we opened a place only dedicated to repairing called?VEJA General Store: we repair sneakers but also shoes and clothes of all the?brands. Here, you can see a pair of V-90 getting repaired VEJA GENERAL STORE 11 rue de Marseille 75010 PARIS

VEJA and LA runner Cesar Villalba with their first collaboration: the Condor 3 Advanced. LA-based athlete and designer, Cesar Villalba combines his passions for design and sports.?He has been collaborating with international brands in fashion, performance, and lifestyle, infusing each project with his unique style. “It’s the simplicity of it. The possibility of putting on your sneakers anytime, anywhere in the world. How much you can do. How much fun you can have. How many people you meet along the way.”?— CESAR VILLALBA when asked about running This shoe is inspired by the creative energy of LA's outdoor sports scene, mixing performance and unique style. It's designed for all runs, even fast ones, with comfort and lightness. A new Dynamic-Plate midsole adds responsiveness and stability, while the outsole is more durable. From zero experience in the sneaker world, VEJA launched the Volley in Paris in 2005,?selling 5,000 pairs. From then on, we've added more styles and sold over 14 million pairs worldwide. VEJA succeeded without spending on advertising by focusing on deconstructing and investing in a fair supply chain. The Volley is now available in many colorways ?? https://lnkd.in/ekbU6U52

The Amazon is the only place on Earth where rubber trees grow in the wild. The rubber produced is what your VEJA soles are made of. The rubber tappers, called seringueiros, bleed the trees to collect rubber. This technique allows the trees to regenerate. VEJA directly supports local rubber tappers by purchasing their rubber from cooperatives working with families from the region. One of these cooperatives is Cooperacre, located in the Brazilian State of Acre. It connects with over 25 smaller cooperatives, representing more than 1800 families who tap rubber trees. Over time, we've built strong relationships with these communities. We regularly visit them, getting to know the cooperative leaders and the families who harvest the rubber.
