Stuck in the comparison trap? This story’s for you?? “Last year, I learned a big lesson: stop comparing yourself to others. I used to focus so much on how I measured up to my peers that I forgot to appreciate how far I’d come. As a graduating college student, the pressure to ‘have it all figured out’ is intense. The stress of setting myself up for success and meeting expectations weighed heavily on me. But, running a branch office over the summer gave me perspective. It made me realize that I’ve accomplished so much in just a year. Yet, somehow, I still felt like it wasn’t enough. The truth is, there’s a learning curve to everything. Growth is not linear, and it looks different for everyone. Some days will feel like setbacks, and sometimes you’ll feel like you’re not doing enough. But instead of being hard on yourself, take a moment to look back and celebrate how far you’ve come. Comparison is the thief of joy. Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step forward (no matter how small) is progress.” - Coby Austin, Branch Manager (High Point, NC)

Growing up, my brother had always told me that I should try Vector as my first work experience. So, I took a chance and tried sales. Four months later, I was considered for the role of AMIT (Assistant Manager in Training). All the while, I was being told by “friends” and my spouse that I should quit, because there was no way that something this good could be offered to a teenager. I spent the summer helping my manager by running interviews, conducting coaching twice weekly, and assisting in the office during training. By that time, I hit another promotion and was accepted into The Leadership Academy. I grew exponentially in sales skills, management skills, and time management. In high school, I always had the opportunity to be a leader in clubs, whether it was Choir, Band, or Dance... but nothing that has had such an impact like Vector. I still had those moments where I was being told by loved ones to quit, even after my success. But, I turned their fears into my motivation to submit my letter of intent for running a branch office in the summer of 2025. My goal this year is for my team to learn that struggling is okay, but what really matters is how you can resolve it. There were times throughout my journey I grew jealous that others were able to get so far ahead of me and I was scared to ask for help. I later realized we all go through the same tribulations in life, just at different moments, and anyone who has learned from those moments would be eager to help. Asking for support is not a sign of weakness, but strength. I’m proud to say that the obstacles I’ve overcome have not held me down, but in fact, have made me stronger for more journeys yet to come.” - Kayleigh Gilman, Branch Manager (Marietta, GA)

“No one is going to hand you greatness. You have to work for it. Often times, the magic you’re looking for can be found in the work you’re avoiding. Last year, I earned an award for Push Period Excellence. It was 17 days of hard work, dedication, unwavering faith, and extraordinary effort to push to the end. I faced rejection, no-shows to appointments, no sales, and sacrifices for my greater goals. However, I learned so much during that time… I realized that I had the ability to choose my hard: the pain of regret or the pain of discipline. I chose discipline because no one was going to do it for me. I learned how to lean on others for support and guidance to help me on the journey, and shifted to a forward-focused mindset. Believing in myself was the key to achieving my goals. When I hit my sales goal for the push, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy, accomplishment, and victory in that moment. I felt so proud of myself for this tremendous achievement. It reminded me of what my hard work and dedication can achieve when I commit to the process, not just the result. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel; it’s just a matter of how long the journey is, the lessons we learn, and who we become in the process.” – Ellie Rauk, Sales Manager (Minneapolis, MN) ??CLICK HERE TO APPLY ??? https://lnkd.in/gDYKF6Xv

“We’ve all been there.. writing down our goals with enthusiasm, envisioning success, and imagining how we’ll transform our lives. But what happens when reality sets in? What happens when the grind begins, and motivation starts to wane? I found myself standing at the crossroads of change last year. I had just transferred to my new office in West Denver, and I wasn’t just starting a new chapter professionally, I was setting the tone for what I wanted to accomplish. Like most people, I wrote down my goals at the beginning of the year, ready to dive in headfirst: 1?? Buy my first car 2?? Pay off my student loans 3?? Become an Assistant Manager I managed to accomplish two of those goals and even more than I expected, but it wasn’t because I had a burning desire to “check off” goals from a list. What really made the difference was one question I asked myself, over and over: Why? I got curious about my intentions, dug deeper into why these goals were important and what they would give me. Not just for myself, but for the people I interact with along the way. This curiosity became the fuel behind my actions, and shifted my entire approach to achieving goals. What I realized is that the true power of goal-setting isn’t just in the goals themselves but in the systems you build to achieve them. It’s finding the balance between ambition and humility. The systems I created were there to serve me. They gave me structure, but they also gave me freedom. They kept me grounded in the why behind my actions, which made every challenge feel purposeful rather than like an obstacle. At the end of each day, I made sure I left nothing on the table. I pushed myself to be the best I could be, while also staying open to the possibility of growth tomorrow. It wasn’t just about achieving my goals, it was doing it in a way that left me ready to do more, to serve others better, and to continue evolving. The goals were important, but the systems I built around them, guided by my “why,” were what truly shaped my success.” - Alijah Hernandez, Sr. Field Sales Leader (Denver, CO)
