Yesterday, nine team members volunteered at The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. Community is one of VEC's Core Values and we promote volunteering with local organizations. We spent the morning packing up bags of grapefruit and oranges to be distributed to local food pantries. We wanted to take time to recognize VEC Field Superintendent Carl Green. Carl, along with three TC Energy employees were recognized by TC Energy for being their "Brothers Keeper." Recently, the TC Energy Inspector on site became ill, but didn't want to receive medical treatment. Carl and these men visited the inspector at home and persuaded him to seek medical attention. Their persistence very likely saved this man's life. Congratulations Carl, and thank you for being your Brother's Keeper. We couldn't be prouder. #WeAreVEC #BrothersKeeper #KnowSafetyNoInjury
