On behalf of Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU Blockchain, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Solana Foundation and Solana University last week to the VCU da Vinci Center. The event was a golden opportunity for #blockchain enthusiasts and newcomers residing in the city of Richmond and the state of Virginia to dive deep into the world of #cryptocurrencies and #Web3. An optimistic keynote from the School of Business Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate’s Department Chair, Pawan Jain, Ph.D., CFA, CFP?, set an exciting precedent for the night. Uncoincidentally, our event occurred during Solana’s recent increase in market dominance and developer contributions. We were delighted to have two product demos featuring Joey Meere from Stockpile Labs and Evan Solomon from Parcl and Michigan Blockchain. Other topics discussed by our panelists, Kevin Rego Ricoy, Garrett Hughes, and Lindsey Phillips, included the large-scale use cases of crypto and the intersection between blockchain technology and artificial intelligence. I would like to express my gratitude to all those who traveled down for the night and spread their knowledge with the #VCU and #RVA community.? This event marks the end of my time at VCU Blockchain, as I am graduating this semester. As President of VCU Blockchain, we have been recognized locally and nationally for our efforts in this space. I am proud to have been behind its immense growth during these past few years, and I cannot thank everyone who has been by my side through it all enough, especially Connor Rielly, Greg L., ??Ellis Norman, and Ian L.. With that, I am excited to pass the torch to Jonathan Freitas, who I know is more than capable of moving VCU Blockchain forward. Onward and upward ??

Yesterday, I had the honor of giving a presentation on our new V2 product at Stockpile Labs, and participating in a fireside chat with some industry leaders in Richmond. It was a great experience overall, and it was amazing to meet all kinds of talented people in the broader Virginia blockchain scene. Huge thank you to VCU Blockchain, Virginia Blockchain Council, Hexens, Ledger and Solana Foundation for hosting!
