Youth leaders, share your idea for addressing a community issue while engaging your peers, friends, and neighbors with Youth Service America (YSA) and The Hershey Company, by March 16 and you could receive a grant to help you make it a reality on #GYSD2025! Your support of Taste of Community helps maintain our GetConnected platform, engaging thousands of volunteers and supporting nonprofits across South Jersey and beyond in their recruitment efforts. Since managing the GetConnected portal, we've engaged nearly 8,000 volunteers, with more joining daily. The site helps volunteers find meaningful opportunities that match their lifestyle, interests, and skills. On the other hand, we help connect volunteers to nonprofit partners, ensuing they find the right volunteers for events, office tasks, and more. GetConnected lets organizations customize their needs and manage sign-ups directly on the site. A huge part of what we do is ensuring volunteering is accessible to everyone. Here at the Volunteer Center of South Jersey, a Program of Jersey Cares we offer a unique opportunity for youth to enhance their personal and professional skills while giving back to their community through the Youth Workforce Development Program. Taste of Community is around the corner and we know there's a lot to be said and done for our annual fundraiser! But, how is your involvement in the event making a direct impact in our community? Whether you're a sponsor, a food/drink establishment, or simply attending as a guest, you're making a difference, and here's how!
