What’s That Wednesday: High-Flow Oxygen When traditional oxygen therapy isn’t enough, High-Flow Oxygen Therapy provides a heated, humidified, high-volume flow of oxygen through nasal cannulas. This advanced system helps patients breathe more efficiently by reducing their respiratory effort and, in some cases, preventing the need for mechanical ventilation. #vettech #HighFlowOxygen #CriticalCarePets #vetmed

What’s That Wednesday: Fluoroscopy & the C-Arm Ever wondered how we get real-time moving X-ray images during surgery? Meet the C-Arm, a vital tool in veterinary medicine that allows us to see inside a patient’s body in real time using fluoroscopy. What is Fluoroscopy? Fluoroscopy is a specialized imaging technique that provides continuous X-ray images, allowing for a minimally invasive approach to certain procedures. This reduces surgical trauma, speeds up recovery time, and improves patient outcomes. What is the C-Arm used for? Fluoroscopy is used in a variety of procedures where real-time imaging is essential. In veterinary medicine, it helps guide: ?? Minimally invasive fracture repair ?? Subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) placements for urinary obstruction relief ?? Ectopic ureter ablation to help correct urinary incontinence ?? Tracheal stent placement for patients with tracheal collapse ?? Evaluation of swallowing disorders through fluoroscopic swallow studies The C-shaped design allows our specialists to position the machine easily around the patient, providing real-time guidance for these delicate procedures. This advanced technology enhances precision and improves overall patient care. #VeterinaryMedicine #Fluoroscopy #VetTech #VeterinarySurgery

Fracture healing With our PulseVet Technologies, LLC shockwave unit many pets experience reduced pain and improved mobility after just a few treatments!
